A slow cooker and some flowers

The first two pictures are of the lovely flowers I purchased at the Farmer's Market. They are very fragrant and have stayed ever so lovely for the past week. Great purchase, indeed!

The second picture is of another great purchase- a slow cooker. Last night there was a feast of beef stew from the slow cooker and cheesy garlic mashed potatoes. I am very impressed with myself making mashed potatoes. They were a little salty but still... very good!

Festival

I used to have another blog named, 'Crayola, how I've missed you.' The purpose of that blog was going to be to revive my artistic creativity with painting, photography, sketching, artsy stuff. That rarely happened so instead I am just going to post on this blog the artsy stuff I rarely do.
Up top are a few of my favorites from the other blog. Most of them are my favorite because of the memories behind them :)


In other news:
Today there is a Whale Festival. The whales are migrating. So we celebrate. Hmmmm. Anyway, Brett and I are going to meet up with my new friend, Vanessa later today. I'm very proud of myself for making a new friend. She is featured in my 'Carmel' post.

Soup

I am a big fan of soup.
My cooking is getting much better.
My mom taught me how to make chicken noodle soup with made from scratch noodles.
Last night we got a little fancy with our noodles.
The we realized the chicken was still frozen... and the spinach was bad...
So it turned into noodle and carrot soup. Still good though.
