Remaining impressed

The first picture is of Megan Fox who I HATE but look at her earrings.
The second is of some earrings I made earlier today. When I saw Transformers I fell in love with the earrings Megan Fox wears and have seen them on a lot of girls around town and was so jealous. Today, I saved myself $20 and made them. I can't decide if I like the spaces in between like the ones Megan Fox has. What say you? Beads provided by the lovely Jeri.
The third is a ring that was my mother's when she was my age. I love love love it!!
The fourth is of a ring that I made 5 minutes ago and well... I'm impressed still if I may be so bold.

Obsesssed.
Okay, maybe not obsessed but close. Just think of it as being really productive. My new hobby.
Just a warning. I'm going to post a lot of pictures of the jewelry I've made. Just a warning.
The first picture is a pearly bracelet. The idea for this bracelet is from a jewelry making book my mom gave to me. I couldn't really figure out how to make it look just right so I just winged it. The book labels the bracelet as "Iridescent pearls tumble in frothy web" bracelet. There is a tongue twister for yah. I know in the picture it kind of looks like a mess of pearls in a bunch of wire... but I assure you, it's cute. Don't worry.
The second is a ring. The profile is pretty tall but that's what I like about it. It's cute too.
I think they are cute anyway.

Who is making her own Etsy profile?? Me.
Yes sir, I am making my own Etsy. Soon. I think.
My latest health issues have sent me to the ER twice and lots of weird tests have been taken to figure out what is going on with me. We still don't know. I don't really want to get into all that right now but I will soon. Maybe. Anyway, the not really bed rest has catapulted me into jewelry making. Oh, and Cortney and I spent the afternoon making rings. Oh what a lovely day.
Jewelry and cute ruffly- flowery shirts handmade by me.
I am soooo impressed with myself.
I deserve a treat. Chocolate anyone?!

1:30 AM Creativity
Picture #1:
Mr. Brettski and I went to Color Me Mine. It's a "tea time pot and mug" all in one! Cute! The colors didn't work out the way I imagined it (I was going for a colorful Alice in Wonderland tea time look) but it makes me feel happy when I drink hot cocoa... or water.
Picture #2:
I can't get to sleep and I was feeling pretty creative. I am so impressed with myself. I usually pop out something random and creative once every year so between this and the bruschetta I think I am ON FIYAH! (fire) I saw this "blossom jersey" that was handmade on my sister-in-laws friend's blog and I wanted to give it a shot. Sooo the long sleeved magenta top became a quarter sleeved loveliness with little blossoms. It's kind of sloppy and "bunchy" but I think I'll wear it a lot more. I've always liked magenta on me but I've been a little... well, monotone for the past four years so it's been a challenge. I'm getting there, don't you freight.
Soooo what do yah think??

Sunshine!!
Okay, I know the picture doesn't look all that awesome. Buuut Brett and I made fabulously fresh bruschetta and ricotta and spinach ravioli with a white sauce. Impressive for a girl stuck on mac and cheese eh?
(The bruschetta is an item Brett and I would gladly make daily. It was soooo good! The ravioli... needs a different noodle recipe. Not sooo good.)
I went to the outdoor pool today and it was so refreshing. I got my first summer sunburn today. It hurts but AH!! Summer is HERE!!!
I am amazed with the changing scenery!!
Tree branches stoop down, heavy with ripening fruit. Fresh fruit in the summer is one of the top ten things that make me glad. Especially peaches and plums.
There is nothing I want to do more than to lie down in a hammock wrapped up in a big down comforter with a good book and a yummy drink. I would sip and read and watch the sunset until the stars spilled across the night sky. Perrrfeecctt!!
