I have a love/hate relationship with this woman.
It's obvious why I love her. Right? Gorgeous blah blah blah...
The recognition of hate will not be tolerated here...
So... That's that.
I had been mulling over this love/hate business for a few hours while reading here and theres of Shakespeare.
I discovered that I also have a strange love/hate relationship with that rascal, Shakespeare. Handsome devil isn't he?? Anyway, I was flabbergasted at how funny, romantic, dreamy etc. Shakespeare's writing is. I'm rereading The Winter's Tale. I get made fun of. No one reads The Winter's Tale. A lot of wonderful Shakespeare musings aren't read. Not like Romeo and Juliet is read anyway. (That's a lovely one. I cry every time I read it. Every time.)
What if Shakespeare and Marilyn fell in love? There they'd be- the ever so dashing Shakespeare escorting the lovely Marilyn down the red carpet. When stopped for a picture Shakespeare would quote a sweet nothing for his endless love, Marilyn. And she'd stand there... smiling. She was good at that. (She was meant to stand there, smiling, being great at it. Kind of like how Godzilla was meant to be great at stomping on buildings. Okay, he was AMAZING at stomping on buildings.) I think that they would be the most successful couple in Hollywood. But alas, they inevitably were never meant to be. The separation of time periods could be a factor...
But still... just imagine...
