Life has been pretty exciting the past week ish. Blogging got kinda lost in the excitement.
Brett came home Tuesday night. I was expecting him Thursday but I got a tip that he was trying to surprise me with an earlier arrival date. This threw off my schedule for my list of things to do before he came. What was listed as something to do in 2 days was suddenly 24 hours. Nevertheless, the surprise was fantastic. (Duhh.) So... HE'S HOME!!! I am so so so so so so happy! We had a nice stay at a fancy hotel and will not be spending that kind of money for a long long time. We soaked it up! It's 4AM and he is asleep next to me. Awww. I really like that.
The Mr. and I will be very busy with new stuff. Stuff like apartment and job searching. I am dreading interviews. They are like interrogations on steroids. Compensation is dangling in front of you.
Speaking of new, I want a new pet. Not that we had one before, buuut what about a bird? I had a bird when I was little. Fifle. Best bird anyone could ask for. My cat tried to eat him. He died. ...Maybe I'm not ready for a potential pet loss. Fish die too easily and after 5 "flushings" I could see myself starting some kind of loss prevention group and never be able to love a creature ever again. Kitties get hit by cars too easily. Puppies... we can't have a puppie in a new apartment. That could be very... destructive.
Thursday I was officially released to walk. Halleluja! My feet are sore and reconstructed. I am very happy to be fixed. It's a little awkward though. I'm walking with feet I've never used before... Okay, that an exaggeration. I'm walking with bones in different places and tendons lengthened which makes walking a very different sensation from what I'm used to. (See, the first sentence sounded soooo much better.)
It needs to warm up. For reals Mother Nature. This is starting to get freakin old. I don't warm up until mid-May. So uh, lets move things along.
It's Saturday. I like Saturdays. They are productive days. I plan to have a job by the end of the day. (Wishful thinking... irrational thinking.) I'm excited for Sunday dinner at my mom's. Nothing real special, but because Brett is home everyone will be all excited. Coming home for Sunday dinner often feels like Christmas. Yummy food, family, loud dogs, laughs. Eh- hem.
I think I'll blog more later when I don't have a dashing, handsome man trying to sleep next to me.
